Thanksgiving Blessings

Instead of cleaning the house today, I scrapbooked and loved it! This is a layout with my Thanksgiving day pictures. On Thursday, we had a wonderful church service and then spent the day with family. Yes, absent from the photo's is Natalie - she woke up that morning sick and so she couldn't share the day with the whole family. Don and I did stop by and give her some extra hugs on our way home.

Boxes

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I pray that you have a wonderful day filled with beautiful memories. I am thankful for so many things and I enjoy the holiday especially because it gives me a day to stop everything and think about all of the wonderful blessings that I truly have. I am thankful for my loving family and friends, and for this wonderful country that we can live in so freely. For those who are serving in the military who provide us with this freedom. For our church and the fellowship. For CTMH and all of the wonderful people that I have met in the past 11 years - I am truly thankful for each and every one of you - you have blessed my life.

More Grace

Grace is a beautiful paper pack! These 2 pages (along with the 2 pages I posted the other day) will be made at our upcoming scrapbooking workshop. I had these pictures on my work table and so I added them just so you can see how the layout would look with pictures. Even though the papers have more fall colors, Natalie with her little sundress and bare feet still look great! Next I will add the title and the journaling.

My Favorite Things

I love to organize. Sometimes I organize more than I create, and today I was in the organizing mood. A Close To My Heart consultant had shared an idea of stitching Memory Protectors and creating pockets that are smaller to accommodate the Rub-ons and Color Ready Alphabets. I like to use each of these products but sometimes forget about them. So I created an album for them!

I used the Notebook paper pack, Stickease and several different ribbons to make my album cover fun. For the inside I stitched up 10 Memory Protectors to make the pockets. If you would like more specific directions or to place an order for some of the supplies just send me an email. I would love to help.

Grace

Using the photo that I posted earlier on my blog and some additional pictures from our family camping trip I created this layout. I kept the color pallete more neutral with papers from the Grace paper pack. This is one of the layouts that we will be creating in our December scrapbooking workshop. Check back over the weekend to view the other layout.

Someone asked me last night at a workshop that since a new baby is one the way - Yes, Natalie is going to be a big sister! - would Natalie be featured in less layouts. My answer is no, I will just scrapbook all the more!

Simple Pleasures

I love this picture of Natalie and me. We were walking down the gravel road thru the trees in a campground. This is what being a grandparent is all about - helping the little ones to stay on the right path as they point out all of the beauty and share the excitement for the simple everyday pleasures.

Thank You

Today I am very thankful. Thankful to my father who served in the Army during the Korean war and all of our nations Veterans. I am glad that our country takes this day to recognize these special people and what they have given for us to live in this great country.

This is a easy card, but sometimes a simple card just says it all. The stamped backgrounds used the November Stamp of the Month Set and the Thanks A Bunch comes from the Thank You set.

Winter Wonderland

It's a little early for snow, but not to early to play around with this stamp set! I love the beauty of snow and the way sunshine makes it sparkle. The stamped snowflake swirl along the bottom is embossed in clear powder and shimmers just like snow. I also covered the white square with clear embossing powder. Snowflakes in any form are fun to play with - even on a card !

Happy Monday and Around The Block

Hope you had a great weekend. We got together as a family to celebrate my big brothers birthday. Rich is my only brother, but isn't it amazing that no matter how old we get we still look up to our older sibling. It was fun to sit around the table with a cup of tea (most drink coffee, but I prefer tea!) and share memories of our growing up years. So many memories.

I was playing around with the stamp set "Around the Block" and I thought I would share one of the cards that I created.
