Thanksgiving Crop & More

What a GREAT time we had at the Thanksgiving Crop.
Great friends
Lots of laughs
Yummy food
9 layouts assembled!

To thank all of those who attended, I created this layout for them. So happy that I did since I could just add my Thanksgiving pictures and my layout was complete also.
The bottom left page photo is inserted in a flip flap and there are several additional pictures behind and my journaling.

This layout was one that I did many years ago at a Close To My Heart Leadership Conference. It was just meant for some of my vacation pictures from San Francisco.
I just need to add the title and some journaling. (My family has requested that I keep my journaling private since I tend to add a lot of details :-)

Really, the pictures were from our visit to the Golden Gate Bridge - we even walked onto the bridge. You just cannot see it due to the heavy fog.

One more vacation layout that I had finished several months ago for a workshop. My pictures fit just perfectly!

The next Crop will be held in February ~ hope you can attend!

Snow Day Scrapbooking

What better way to spend a day snowed in than scrapbooking! I really couldn't scrapbook all day ~ I had promised my husband that I would work on the taxes for my CTMH business, but I did sneak in some time to play with the new Sweetheart paper pack!

I love the Cotton Candy, Tulip and Black colors together and the black polka dot epoxy embellishments. I need to still add my journaling ~ I have a special place for it.

This is one of the layouts that we will create at the February 23rd Scrapbooking Workshop. Call or email me to sign up for this fun filled class.

Fall is HERE!

Fall is HERE!
It is a crisp day today and it makes me want to start cooking a pot of chili or soup. I love this time of year with the crunchy leaves in all of their beautiful colors, crisp fresh air and the smells of apple cider and warm apple pie. This is also a great time of year to take some outdoor pictures.

A couple of weeks ago I got together with some great scrapbooking friends and we created these 2 layouts using the beautiful Close To My Heart ~ Olivia paper pack. Both of the layouts were created using the new scrapbooking idea book ~ Magic. Notice the adorable envelope on the right hand page that can be used for additional pictures or hidden journaling. (p.s. I still need to add my title and journaling to the layout) If you would like a kit to make these layouts, just send me an email ~ I would be happy to order the supplies for you and provide you with the instructions.

On October 20th, we will be working with the Hooligans paper pack and creating two, 2 page layouts. Let me know if you would like to join the fun! I have openings in both the morning and the evening workshops. Kits are also available if you cannot make the date and want to create the layouts on your own. The layouts will include one for Halloween and one that can be used for birthday pictures. I hope to have the pictures posted soon.

Have a happy fall and remember to take a lot of pictures. Sometimes the simple everyday things create the best, lasting memories.

Zippidee, It's Time to Scrapbook!

This Wednesday we will be scrapbooking with the Zippidee paper pack. These fun layouts will be great with so many different picture themes. Call or email if you would like a kit to create these 2 pages plus 2 more. This layout comes from the new Close To My Heart book called Magic. See the magic on the 2nd page? It is hidden behind the button is an area for either more photo's or journaling.
The Magic book will be available to order in September when the new Idea Book debuts.

Scrapbooking Grandpa's Rain

I love how Close To My Heart creates such beautiful layout patterns and by adding our own pictures, we can make it so special for our own scrapbook! This layout is the featured layout with the CTMH Splendor paper. It went together so well, and I love how it turned out. Of course, Natalie's reaction is the best - "me and rain" :) I plan to add the journaling on the left side of the 8 x 8 photo using vellum paper.

Want to create some pages with the Splendor paper? I have 2 classes this week and I would love to have you join the fun. For those unable to attend, I also put together kits for you to complete on your own. Just leave me a note and we can work out the details.

Scrapbooking Artwork

I thought I would share another display board of artwork with you tonight. The paper that I used for this layout is a new Close To My Heart Level 2 paper pack that will be featured in the Fall / Winter Idea Book. Also if you look closely, you will see some new embellishments. Want to see more of the paper pack? Check back tomorrow - I will post more pictures then.

5 days of FUN!

Yes, the Close To My Heart convention was an awesome experience. I had such a great time catching up with all of my CTMH friends. It is hard to believe that it is over. While I didn't post too much the last few months, it was because I was prepping for teaching a class at Extravaganza - a very special teaching workshop for all of the convention attendees. My topic title was Irresistable Adorable Idea's. I will be sharing many of the ideas in my upcoming workshops.
This picture is one of the boards that I created for my class - yes, it is Natalie when she was about 6 months old.

I have missed blogging, so look for some more artwork and ideas to come soon!

Happy July and More

I hope that all of you had a very safe and Happy 4th of July. Just couldn't resist adding this picture of Natalie that I took after the parade. She really enjoyed the parade and enjoyed collecting candy, beads and seeing the fire trucks and dogs. Doesn't this popsicle look refreshing?

The evening scrapbooking workshop on July 28th will be using the Splendor paper - such fun summer paper! Email me today to sign up for this workshop.

*shown is the artwork created by CTMH and is just a sample of what we could be creating

This is page one of the Cherry O scrapbooking workshop that was held in June. Would you like to create this layout? I will be repeating the workshop on July 28th in the morning workshop. I also have some kits available for those who would like to create this layout on their own.

The card stamping workshop in July is on the 21st for the morning class and the 22nd for the evening class. We will be creating some fun projects, with some featuring the adorable hedgehogs in the Stamp of the Month.

Tomorrow I leave for Washington D.C. and the Close To My Heart convention. I will enjoy the time away with consultants from all over the U.S. and Canada. This is my time to learn, create and be inspired!

Passages

Thank you to all of you who have been asking about Brooke. She is home and doing great! She is gaining weight and is such a sweet baby. I got my "grandma" fix on Saturday and held her for 2 hours straight :) Big sister Natalie is so gentle with her and loves to kiss her fingers.

Even though I have not been posting lately, that doesn't mean that I have not been creating. Now, I would love to show you, but it is a secret!

Are you getting ready for your summer vacation? I hope so! With that in mind, last week at our scrapbooking workshop we worked with the Close To My Heart Passages paper pack. These are the 2 layouts that we created. I love the beautiful papers and the accents of ribbon and pewter mini medleys. Now if you could not attend but you would like to create these layouts, just let me know and I will package up the supplies for you.

In June we will be playing with the Cherry-O paper, hope you can attend. Are you out of town? I can always send a kit to you - just drop me a note.

Have a great week.

Pretty in Pink

I took some time this afternoon to create Brooke's 1st scrapbook page. I used some pearl paint mixed with Baby Pink re-inker to color both the letters and the outside layer of paper. Isn't she just so cute with her little pink hat on?

stamping hugs,

p.s. I really take the pictures straight, not sure why they all seem to tilt to the right :)

You Rock

What fun it is to finish up a scrapbook layout using Close To My Hearts beautiful paper! This layout uses the "You Rock" paper pack. When I first saw this paper I thought it would only be good for teen pictures, but I was wrong ~ I love how the paper works so great with Don's birthday celebration pictures.

This is one of the layouts that was created at the March's evening scrapbooking workshop and will also be created at the April's morning class. Would you like to join us? Or, would you like a kit to create it at your leisure? Just send me an email to sign up.

Happy Birthday Girl

Just thought I would share a layout that I did with the CTMH Game On paper. It is such a versatile paper pack. It seems like yesterday my baby girl turned 3, but she just turned 23.

Also, check out the links on the side of the blog showing the March stamp of the month and the March special!

Promise of Spring

Yes, we all need the promise of Spring! This beautiful Close To My Heart paper is called Promise of Spring and it worked great with pictures of the CTMH Leadership conference from this past July. The paper came with embellishments and a flyer with layout instructions. It is retired but I found a few packs when I was cleaning out my office. If you are interested in this paper, just send me an email. (I still have to add my journaling on the little tags, but I was anxious to share the pages!)

I had such a great time at Leadership conference joining up with so many great CTMH friends, learning new techniques and creating great artwork. Want to join me at the next conference? Give me a call and I can give you all of the details.

This is the second post for today, so make sure you scroll down and check out the other one also.

Bitty Baby

Last week I posted a layout that I was teaching at a Scrapbooking Event. After teaching the class I added my photo's to the layout. These pictures are of Natalie opening her American Girl Bitty Baby. I had more picture that I wanted to include, so I added flip flaps to the right hand page. This is a great way to add additional pictures without creating more pages! I still will add a title and journaling, but I wanted to share how fun the flip flaps are and they are so easy to add.

The ribbon circle was created by cutting a 7" piece of CTMH ribbon that has the stitching along the edge. Gather up the ribbon on the white threads from both ends and tie the threads together in a knot to form a circle.

This layout was created with the Veranda Creative Basics paper pack and it includes the ribbon! You can order this paper pack and the flip flaps anytime on my website ~ 24 / 7, you can even shop in your jammies!

Topnotch layouts with Topstitch!

Last night was my Scrapbooking workshop and we created 2, two page layouts. I love this workshop! Everyone inspires me, and I enjoy working with all of you! Have I told you lately how much I LOVE my job? This first layout included some stamping - hard to see, but if you click on the picture you will get a larger version.

This second layout was inspired by a CTMH consultant in California who is my unit. It is so great that we can all share idea's no matter where we live! Love the half circle shape and the "window" of pictures!

This last layout is my version of the layout from the flyer in the CTMH Creative kit. Such cute suede pinwheels with fun stitching.

Next month we will be working with Caboodle! I love the name, colors, and fun patterns. Want to join the fun? Just give me a call or send me an email. I can even send kits for those who live long distance.

Have you ordered your Felicity paper pack yet? There are only a couple of days left in January. (I don't know where the time has gone!) Shop online 24 / 7 on my website.

Veranda

On Friday and Saturday I will be scrapbooking at the Trinity Christian College Scrapbooking Event. It is always such a great time! I will be teaching one class this year and this is the layout that we will be creating. The Veranda Creative Basics paper and ribbon are so beautiful! I added some stamped embellishments from the Authentic stamp set and I also used the new Pewter Filigree Charms - so cute!!

If you cannot attend this event but are intersted in a kit, just let me know. I would be happy to put a kit together for you.

A whole lot of Caboodle

The first picture shows 4 two-page scrapbooking layouts, 12 cards and the left over paper! I also took the other pictures so that you could see the projects better. I am participating in a swap with other CTMH consultants and we had to send each of them a layout and 3 cards. I was amazed that I could create ALL of the shown projects with one Caboodle paper pack and some additional neutral color background cardstock! This sure shows what a great value the Level 2 paper packs are.

Click on the pictures for a closer view.

Call or email me to order your own Caboodle scrapbooking kit.
