Stamping Workshop

This past week was 2 of my stamping workshops. Both groups have the nicest women! They inspire me, motivate me, and we always have plenty of laughter.
We created 5 different projects and I thought I would share with you 2 of the cards. The first card uses the Veranda paper with it's beautiful colors of Creme Brulee and Juniper. I used the Stamp of the Month ~ A Little Everything ~ for the word Happy, and the word Birthday comes from the set (D1386) ~ Save the Date. The design was inspired by a card that I saw in a magazine.

This second card is my version of a card that is shown on 81 of the Close To My Heart Idea book. I used the stamp set (A1102) A Posy. This adorable set is available for only $7.95!

We always have room in the class for new people ~ hope you can come sometime! Call or email me if you have any questions.

Thank You

Thank you to each and everyone of you ~ my friends, for all of the support that you have given me as a Close To My Heart consultant. I am sending this card to you thru my blog! I love the colors and paper of Veranda, and I hope that you know how special you are to me.

A whole lot of Caboodle

The first picture shows 4 two-page scrapbooking layouts, 12 cards and the left over paper! I also took the other pictures so that you could see the projects better. I am participating in a swap with other CTMH consultants and we had to send each of them a layout and 3 cards. I was amazed that I could create ALL of the shown projects with one Caboodle paper pack and some additional neutral color background cardstock! This sure shows what a great value the Level 2 paper packs are.

Click on the pictures for a closer view.

Call or email me to order your own Caboodle scrapbooking kit.

Gratitude

I love the set that I used on this card - Gratitude.
Gratitude is such a great word and expresses my thoughts for my family and friends. As I leave for church this morning, I will continue to think of this special word.

This card is one of the cards that was made this month in my stamping workshop. The picture doesn't show how cute this card really is with it's layered ribbon and raised up flowers.

Enjoy your day and think of the word gratitude.

Thank You

Today I am very thankful. Thankful to my father who served in the Army during the Korean war and all of our nations Veterans. I am glad that our country takes this day to recognize these special people and what they have given for us to live in this great country.

This is a easy card, but sometimes a simple card just says it all. The stamped backgrounds used the November Stamp of the Month Set and the Thanks A Bunch comes from the Thank You set.

Winter Wonderland

It's a little early for snow, but not to early to play around with this stamp set! I love the beauty of snow and the way sunshine makes it sparkle. The stamped snowflake swirl along the bottom is embossed in clear powder and shimmers just like snow. I also covered the white square with clear embossing powder. Snowflakes in any form are fun to play with - even on a card !

Happy Monday and Around The Block

Hope you had a great weekend. We got together as a family to celebrate my big brothers birthday. Rich is my only brother, but isn't it amazing that no matter how old we get we still look up to our older sibling. It was fun to sit around the table with a cup of tea (most drink coffee, but I prefer tea!) and share memories of our growing up years. So many memories.

I was playing around with the stamp set "Around the Block" and I thought I would share one of the cards that I created. It was fun picking out which roof, door & window that I wanted to use and the colors. This set is only available this month, so call or email me if you would like to place an order.

I'm Off to Minnesota!

Today I travel to Minnesota for the Close To My Heart Regional Celebration. I look forward to the time to visit with friends, create some wonderful artwork that corp. has designed for us and learn some fun new techniques and tips. I just finished my contest entries and I thought I would share them with you.

For the layout I added embroidery floss to the Wonder - Heartfelt Die-cuts and I like how they turned out.
For the card I added rub-on's to the pewter accents. I was amazed at how easy that was!
Enjoy your weekend, I know that I will.

I'm Back!

Now hopefully you haven't thought that I disappeared - instead I have been creating and cutting paper for my workshops! Also last weekend was the scrapbooking event at the local college. We had 81 scrapbookers spend the day together! What a great time visiting with all of you.

I want to share with you one of the cards that we have been making this month with the September Stamp of the Month - Treasures. It is a beautiful stamp set with so many uses, and I love how this one turned out using the Twitterpatted paper pack (LOVE this paper pack!). The Treasures stamp set is only available thru September so if you haven't ordered it yet and you are interested, give me a call soon.

The next card workshop is on October 7th (morning) and October 8th (evening).

These are the 2 layouts for our October Scrapbooking workshop using the Jingle paper pack.
Hope you can join us on October 28th creating these special layouts- both morning and evening workshop times are available.

Enjoy the beautiful fall weekend and check back soon for more artwork,

Everyday Celebration Card Kit

What a great time I had creating the cards from the Everyday Celebration Card Kit! The kit has enough supplies for 16 cards (2 each of 8 designs). When I finished the 8 different cards, I re-created the cards with 2 different pieces of Background and Texture paper. The cards look so different, so enjoy the kit and then following the full directions you can continue to play! Call or email me to place your order for this special. See the post of August 18th for more details or click on the link at the side of this page which will bring you right to my website.

Artwork contest

While at Leadership there are several contests that we can enter. One of the contests is to create 3 cards with the Wishes layout pattern ~ Top Band. These are my entries ~ not the best picture, but I think the cards are cute. They were fun cards to create and they show how easy the Wishes book is to use.

Bon Appetit stamp set

Here is another card that we created this month at the card workshop!

Enjoy,

Flower Pot Card

I love this little card that we created this month in the card workshop. Yes, we did a lot of cutting out of the flowers, but the finished results were beautiful! If you are interested in creating some beautiful hand made cards, email me to sign up for the August 5th morning workshop or the August 6th evening workshop.

Today I thought I would share a card that we created this month in the card workshop. I love this card, the pattern, paper, and stamps. The 3 "brads" were created by punching 1/4" dots out of cardstock and then after adhering them to the card we added liquid glass. This is a fun way to add a splash of color and not add the bulk that brads would have added. The Dutch blue stripe paper comes from the Animal Cookies paper pack.
